THE PATIENT PROCESS
A seamless pop-up clinic experience

PATIENT ARRIVAL
The Belizean villagers arrive at the designated local village pop-up clinic for their dental appointment.

INTAKE
At the intake desk, clinic staff collects the patient's information and dental records, creating a patient profile.

VITAL SIGNS CHECK
The patient's vital signs (eg., blood pressure, heart rate) are measured to ensure they are fit for treatment.

WAITING ROOM
Patients wait in the waiting room for their turn to see the dental staff, ensuring an organized and efficient flow.

DENTAL EXAMINATION
The patient is called into the dental area where the dentist conducts an examination, teeth cleaning and any necessary extractions.

ORAL HEALTH EDUCTAION
The dentist educates the patient on proper oral health practices, including flossing and maintaining good dental hygiene.

MEDICATION & SUPPLIES
On their way out, the patient receives necessary antibiotics and vitamins, a toothbrush, and toothpaste to support their oral health.

Stethoscope, disposable gloves, and masks for you and your team. Toothbrushes and toothpaste are optional if you'd like to distribute them to patients. For any additional procedures beyond exams, cleanings, and extractions, please bring the necessary resources.
What documents do dental professionals need to present to qualify for a trip?
A copy of your medical certificate for the Belizean Ministry of Health, 30 days prior to travel.

Can I bring non dental volunteers in our group? What age restrictions are there?
Certainly! We encourage you to bring your entire office or family along! If you're bringing your spouse or children along, we offer special service projects for them to participate in, allowing them to make a positive impact on the villagers' lives as well.
Are travel and meals provided?
We've got your in-country travel covered (excluding personal excursions). Plus, enjoy complimentary meals during your 2 days of service, topped off with a special thank-you dinner with all volunteer vacationers!
